About this event
My funny Valentine (10+) is a 2018 world-premiere production of Junges Nationaltheater Mannheim by choreographer Martin Nachbar with live music by Erik Leuthäuser and dance by Diana Treder. It fuses contemporary dance, experimental pop, and spoken texts into a performative dialogue about identity. Leuthäuser’s sound world blends jazz, pop, and electronics with emotional depth, while Treder contributes her expertise as a voguing specialist. Set and costumes are by Michiel Keuper; dramaturgy by Arno Krokenberger with consultancy by Jo Koppe; outreach and education by Sarah Modeß. Aimed at audiences 10+, the production has an easy-language version and is regularly revived and toured.
