Jess-Trio-Wien is an Austrian family piano trio formed by the siblings Elisabeth, Stefan and Johannes Jess-Kropfitsch. In their Konzerthaus residency, the cycle is described as a complete traversal of Beethoven’s epoch-making works for piano trio, complemented by arrangements from the symphonies and cornerstone Romantic repertoire. The 28 October 2026 lunchtime concert in the Mozart-Saal opens the 2026/27 series with a focused two-work programme: Beethoven’s 14 Variations for Piano Trio in E-flat major, Op. 44 (c. 1792), followed by Dvořák’s Piano Trio in F minor, Op. 65 (1883). Performed without conductor or director, the concert is presented by the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft and showcases the ensemble’s long-standing Viennese recital tradition.
