About this event

Christian Gerhaher (baritone) and Gerold Huber (piano) return to the Wiener Konzerthaus with Schumann II, the second instalment of their multi‑year Robert Schumann Lied project. Framed as “Alles Schumann – Volume 2”, the recital follows their Schumann I evening of December 2024 and reflects the duo’s long-standing partnership and complete Schumann Lied recordings. The programme is in two halves: early cycles from the 1840 Liederjahr (including the Eichendorff Liederkreis op. 39) and later songs from 1849/1850 (op. 83, selections from op. 53, and the Lenau cycle with Requiem op. 90). Presented in a pure Liederabend setting for voice and piano in the Mozart Hall, this concert is part of the subscription series “Lied 7 Konzerte im Mozart-Saal” in the 2026/27 season.
