Helge Schneider »Ellebogen vom Tich!« – Wiener Konzerthaus, Vienna

About this event

Helge Schneider, the wig-wearer from the Ruhr region, manoeuvres himself into the next decade with his trumpet and unmistakable chatter. With a crazy new edition of a kind of miniature orchestra, he continues to shake his audience's diaphragms to the limit. Sometimes he bangs on the drum, sometimes he trumpets a hodgepodge of notes from his saxophone, which he skilfully keeps hidden until it's his turn. The production features a multi-instrumental approach where Schneider performs on the piano, trumpet, and percussion simultaneously (left piano, right trumpet, left foot rhythm, and right foot on the bass drum). The show is characterized by its spontaneous nature and 'mega nonsense' atmosphere, where the artist might end the concert in the middle only to restart immediately.
