This guest performance brings Camerata Salzburg to the Wiener Konzerthaus for a two-part program under Finnegan Downie Dear with pianist Alexandre Tharaud. Spanning three eras—Classical, Romantic, and Modern—the concert places chamber-orchestra practice at the center. Bartók’s Divertimento for Strings opens with folk-inflected vitality, followed by Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G with Tharaud as soloist. After the interval, Liszt’s contemplative Angelus! is heard in a chamber-orchestra arrangement, and Haydn’s London Symphony No. 103 “Drumroll” concludes with its famous timpani flourish.
