About this event
The Sing-Along concerts are a long-established series at the Wiener Konzerthaus that put shared music-making at the center. Under the musical direction of Heinz Ferlesch, with hosting and concept by Monika Jeschko, the “Sing Along” ensemble prepares choral parts, background, and stories behind famous songs for the audience. This edition focuses on “Europe”: song booklets with melodies of popular European songs are handed to everyone so the audience can actively sing along. With great joy, flair, and humor, the performers make music together with the Wiener Singakademie. The series is primarily aimed at adults but explicitly welcomes children and young people. The program is not published as individually titled compositions; it is a moderated sing-along event characteristic of the series. Audiences are encouraged to keep singing the songs at home.
