The season-opening concert of the Slovenian Philharmonic’s Family Subscription (DA!) for 2026/27 explores how composers have portrayed heroes in music. Within the educational series “Let’s Discover the Mysterious World…”, the full symphony orchestra teams up with an onstage moderator who guides young listeners and their families in Slovenian between short orchestral excerpts. The hero-themed program features brief selections associated with Copland, Glinka, Wagner, Richard Strauss, Johann Strauss Jr., and John Williams. The Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Sam Burstin, with presenter and storyteller Franci Krevh as moderator. The concert takes place in Marjan Kozina Hall (Slovenian Philharmonic, Kongresni trg 10) and is scheduled as two short morning performances at 10:00 and 12:00 to suit family audiences.
