Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Live in Concert is part of the international Harry Potter Film Concert Series produced by CineConcerts and presented in Oslo by the Stockholm Concert Orchestra in partnership with Oslo Konserthus, Musikkens Hus Aalborg, CineConcerts, and Warner Bros. Consumer Products. The entire feature film is projected in high definition while a full symphony orchestra performs John Williams’ complete score live and in sync with the picture. There are no additional narrations or singers; the film provides the dramaturgy while the orchestra replaces the recorded soundtrack in real time. The series has toured 48 countries with 2,100+ performances and more than 4.6 million attendees. In Oslo, the concerts take place in Store sal (Main Hall) of Oslo Konserthus, with the original English audio and Norwegian subtitles. The experience runs about three hours including a 20-minute intermission, and costumes are encouraged.
