About this event
An orchestral evening at Kilden Performing Arts Centre with Chief Conductor Julian Rachlin and the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra. The program opens with Wolpertinger (2026) by Norwegian composer Kristine Tjøgersen, a new work inspired by animal sounds and the mythical hybrid creature from Bavarian folklore. Belgian pianist Denis Kozhukhin then performs Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major. The concert concludes with Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 9 in E-flat major, Op. 70. Presented within KSO’s subscription series in the Konsertsalen; total running time is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes including intermission.
