Kort Og Klassisk : En Nordisk Kveld Med Sibelius' Andre – Kilden teater og konserthus, Kristiansand

About this event

Part of KSO’s “Kort og klassisk” series, this 60-minute, intermission-free concert offers an accessible introduction to orchestral music. Timed alongside the orchestra’s main subscription concert, the program focuses on a Nordic highlight: Jean Sibelius’s Symphony No. 2. Selected excerpts are paired with a spoken introduction from the stage to give historical and musical context before each segment. The aim is to welcome listeners new to classical music with a shorter format and modest ticket prices. Presented at Kilden’s Konsertsalen in Kristiansand, the event is produced and performed by the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra (KSO). There is no staging—this is a concert presentation. The complete symphony is performed by KSO in the longer Thursday concert on the following evening.
