This symphonic concert opens the Grand Théâtre de Tours’ 2026–2027 season, marking a new chapter for the Orchestre Région Centre-Val de Loire/Tours under conductor Laurent Campellone. Entirely devoted to Mozart, the program comprises four works: the Don Giovanni Overture, the Piano Concerto No. 9 in E-flat major, K.271 “Jeunehomme” with Sergei Babayan as soloist, the Masonic Funeral Music, K.477, and the Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor, K.491. The presentation highlights the freedom, audacity, and vivid piano–orchestra dialogue of K.271, the solemn character of the Trauermusik, and the expressive power of K.491 from Mozart’s Viennese maturity. Running time: 1h35 including intermission. Reserved seating.
