Händel: Messiah the ultimate christmas classic for a glorious end of the year – hallelujah! – Het Concertgebouw, Amsterdam

This performance of Handel’s Messiah is presented by The Concertgebouw as part of its Keuzeserie Eigen Programmering. It continues earlier successful collaborations with PRJCT Amsterdam (including Pergolesi’s Stabat mater and Handel’s Brockes Passion last season). The oratorio is led by the Baroque orchestra built around countertenor and conductor Maarten Engeltjes, with vocal support from the Flemish Radio Choir. It is a concert performance without staging, and part of a four-city tour that also visits Flagey (Brussels), Musis Parkzaal (Arnhem), and De Vereeniging (Nijmegen). The ensemble is praised as one where ‘no musical wish goes unfulfilled’. The Brussels date is organized with support from Beside Tax Shelter and the Belgian Tax Shelter. Amsterdam ticket sales opened on Monday 1 June 2026 at 10:00, with prices from €25.
