About this event
The Concertgebouw presents a solo recital by pianist Misha Fomin in the Recital Hall, framed by the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s death in 2027. Fomin is completing a multi-year Beethoven project to record and perform all thirty-two piano sonatas. This program is one milestone in that journey, pairing two Beethoven sonatas with two Romantic-era showpieces: a Schubert Impromptu and Brahms’s Paganini Variations (artist’s own selection). The structure is deliberate: Beethoven shapes the first half; after intermission, Schubert and Brahms carry the second. The recital forms part of a broader Beethoven focus in the Concertgebouw’s 2026–2027 season.
