Two of today’s most distinguished pianists, András Schiff and Evgeny Kissin, share the stage at the Concertgebouw for a rare duo evening on two grand pianos and at one piano, four hands. Framed within the venue’s Grote Pianisten series, the programme spans from Mozart’s classical brilliance to the folk-inflected energy of Dvořák, showcasing the sonority and interplay unique to the two‑piano and four‑hand medium. Schiff brings noble refinement, transparency and singing lyricism; Kissin adds monumental technique and epic expressiveness. The concert takes place in the Grand Main Hall (Grote Zaal), renowned for its intimate atmosphere and exceptional acoustics, and includes one intermission.
