Piano Nights is The Concertgebouw’s in-house piano recital series in Amsterdam. In the atmospherically lit Main Hall, two pianists share the stage, each presenting a contrasting programme and briefly introducing their selections. On 19 November 2026, Helena Basilova and Hannes Minnaar appear together. Basilova highlights her affinity with the music of Ryuichi Sakamoto, performing a selection of beloved pieces, some in duo with Minnaar. Minnaar offers a programme of popular classical piano repertoire. The concert lasts approximately 90 minutes without an interval and uses stroboscopic lighting effects. A drink is included in the ticket price, and audience members are invited to remain in the hall afterwards to continue the conversation.
