About this event
This is a traditional classical concert without a scenic production concept; the performance is presented in concert form in the Main Hall of The Concertgebouw. KCOV Amsterdam appears with the Promenade Orchestra, two vocal soloists, and choir under its new chief conductor Peter van der Leeuw (from April 2026). Trained as a classical singer (Royal Conservatoire) and studying orchestral conducting with René Gulikers since 2024, van der Leeuw previously worked with Dutch National Opera and launched international workshops for young opera conductors. The program includes an intermission between W1 and W2, and drinks are included. No set, lighting design, stage direction, or choreography are announced; the event is billed as a high-level amateur-choir performance.
