About this event
This piano duo recital is part of Het Concertgebouw’s Great Pianists series (in-house programming). Lucas and Arthur Jussen perform a full evening as a two-piano duo in the Main Hall, with no orchestra. The program spans Bach chorales (arranged by Mary Howe and György Kurtág), Kulenty’s VAN… (2014), Brahms’s Variations on a Theme by Haydn Op. 56b, Lutosławski’s Variations on a Theme by Paganini, Fauré’s Dolly Suite Op. 56, Ravel’s Introduction et Allegro, and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue in the two-piano version. The design is a contrasting showcase without a single theme. The concert has an intermission and runs 20:15–22:35 (2h 20m). It is part of the subscriptions Great Pianists – Series 1 and Passepartout.
