Solo piano recital and album-launch event for Jan-Willem Rozenboom’s new recording of Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier I (BWV 846–869). Across a curated selection of preludes and fugues, Rozenboom plays and speaks (in Dutch), explaining well-tempered tuning, key character, and Bach’s contrapuntal architecture. The concert takes place in Het Concertgebouw’s Kleine Zaal, lasts about 2 hours 20 minutes including an intermission, and includes a drink in the ticket price. The date serves as the premiere of a season-long Dutch tour of this programme.
