Grootkoor Holland Met 1000 Stemmen Zingen – Het Concertgebouw, Amsterdam

About this event

The Concertgebouw presents the annual 1,000 Voices project led by initiators and conductors Etty van der Mei and Nan van Groeningen. Grootkoor Holland brings together 1,000 singers from regional Dutch choirs for this one-off performance. The program blends classical choral works with excerpts from opera, musical theatre, and film music. The concert includes an interval and is accompanied by two grand pianos (piano: Andy Booth) and the famed Concertgebouw organ (Martin Mans), with additional percussion (Bart Jansen) and the British brass group Steel City Brass. The performance takes place in the Main Hall (Grote Zaal) of Het Concertgebouw; drinks are included. Rehearsals run from April through October, culminating in the concert on 4 October 2026.
