Part of KUG’s 2026/27 subscription under the heading “Kollektiv kreativ,” this new production of Aribert Reimann’s Melusine is presented at MUMUTH’s György Ligeti Hall. The season visuals were developed in a collaborative workshop by stage-design students, who created still-life subjects for the year’s productions. For Melusine, Maria Lienbacher is responsible for stage and costumes, with staging by Ingo Kerkhof and musical direction by Gerrit Prießnitz. The cast is drawn from KUG’s singing and music-theatre students, accompanied by the KUG Opera Orchestra.
