Mozart’s Don Giovanni, a dramma giocoso with a unique blend of the comic and the serious, is presented here as a concert-format opera in the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall at Müpa Budapest. The evening runs approximately 180 minutes with one interval. The Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hungarian National Choir provide the musical forces under the baton of Italian conductor Giancarlo Andretta. The concert presentation places the dramatic focus on the music and singing, while the principal soloists carry the narrative on the concert platform. The title role is sung by Italian baritone Alessandro Luongo, joined by leading Hungarian singers: Krisztián Cser (Leporello), Klára Kolonits (Donna Anna), Zoltán Megyesi (Don Ottavio), Brigitta Kele (Donna Elvira), Boglárka Brindás (Zerlina), Szilveszter Szélpál (Masetto), and András Kiss (Il Commendatore). The performance forms part of the Hungarian National Philharmonic’s 2026/2027 Opera subscription series at Müpa Budapest.
