FALSTAFF – The Art of Getting Away with It is a contemporary rewriting freely inspired by William Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor and Molière’s Don Giovanni, written and directed by Davide Sacco. The show merges two European theatrical archetypes into a single character powered by language, seduction, and deception. Sacco aims to make these worlds collide to reveal one man: weary yet desperately vital, both comic and tragic, fighting death by staying in motion. Fabiana Di Marco’s set design creates an unstable circular space that is both arena and trap, with the curtain symbolizing theatrical and social deceit. Luigi Della Monica’s lighting, arranged around the circular platform, isolates and amplifies the ridiculous while exposing the character’s solitude. Costumes are by Luciana Donadio (Laboratorio Donadio Costumi) with original music by Davide Cavuti. The production is by Compagnia Molière, supported by a dedicated technical and production team.
