A evocative reimagining of the Beatles’ repertoire, filtered through a refined and highly personal jazz language. On stage, the seasoned interplay of Sara Longo (voice, electronics) and Alvise Seggi (cello/double bass, electronics) blends the Fab Four’s melodies into an enveloping sound built from hypnotic cello drones and a skilful use of vocal effects. The arrangements redraw the boundaries of the British band’s classics and, at times, drift toward warmer colors reminiscent of early Mississippi blues. The concert is introduced by a short History of Jazz talk by Gianni Lucini.
