Opera Roanoke's Young Artists present Gian Carlo Menotti's The Medium in an intimate, site-specific staging as part of the Savor the Sound series at Stoney Brook Vineyards in Troutville, Virginia. Set against rolling vines and twilight skies, the winery environment becomes an active scenic element. The venue offers indoor, outdoor, and covered-patio seating; advance reservations are encouraged. Outside food is permitted (outside beverages are not). Tickets ($65) include two drink tickets and Roanoke City Admissions Tax. The evening doubles as a Young Artist Fundraiser, with proceeds supporting Opera Roanoke's Young Artist Program. The production emphasizes narrative intimacy and atmospheric immersion over traditional proscenium spectacle and is performed in English. At the time of announcement, the 2026–27 Young Artists roster and specific creative team had not yet been published.
