About this event
Abono 2 is the second subscription concert of OSPA’s 2026–2027 season. The program forms a stylistic arc: a concise overture by Grażyna Bacewicz as a 20th‑century Polish neoclassical opener; Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35, infused with late‑Romantic lyricism and Hollywood color; and Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 in E‑flat major, Op. 97, “Rhenish,” as the monumental German Romantic finale. Guest conductor Shiyeon Sung leads the orchestra, with violinist Veriko Tchumburidze as soloist. Following OSPA’s standard format, the same program is performed on consecutive evenings in Gijón (Teatro Jovellanos) and Oviedo (Auditorio Príncipe Felipe).
