The Cathedral Concert features Mozart’s Mass in C minor, K. 427 (the “Great Mass”) at Magdeburg Cathedral. The Magdeburger Domchor and the Magdeburgische Philharmonie perform under the direction of Cathedral Cantor Christian Otto. The historic Gothic cathedral provides an acoustically and architecturally fitting setting for Mozart’s sacred masterwork. Presented within Theater Magdeburg’s “Konzerte Extra 26/27” series, the program brings together leading Magdeburg ensembles. Soloists are Melanie Hirsch (soprano/alto), Robert Sellier (tenor), and Matthias Vieweg (bass).
