This lyric concert is part of Opéra Grand Avignon’s Aper’Opéra series, a program devoted to intimate early-evening formats. The program highlights two Mediterranean countries: Spain, from Andalusia to Catalonia, and Italy, from Naples to Venice. The Spanish songs, at the heart of the “Romancero” album recorded by the Gagey–Bleton duo and released on Paraty in 2024, reveal their passions and musical colors. The Neapolitan songs transport listeners into the world of Italian traditions. The reduced forces—mezzo-soprano and guitar—give the concert a chamber dimension, favoring intimacy and closeness with the audience. The concert is followed by a friendly meet-and-greet with the artists.
