Shisherim – From London to Melbourne is part of the long-running “Shisherim” series, a participatory sing-along and performance format created by composer-songwriter Effi Netzer. The subtitle suggests a musical journey linking London and Melbourne, likely touching folk, country, and Celtic strands associated with guest artists Shai Tochner and Gabriella Lewis. A founding figure of Israel’s public sing-along tradition, Netzer leads the audience in well-known Hebrew songs, interwoven with performed selections by the guests. Produced by Ethos – The Company for Art, Culture and Sport Haifa Ltd. (PBC), the event takes place at the Krieger Center in Haifa.
