About this event
The Haifa Symphony Orchestra opens its 2026–27 season in the Grand Classics series with a program tracing an arc from prayer to victory. Paul Ben-Haim’s Psalms from Symphony No. 1 evokes a meditative, liturgical atmosphere rooted in Israeli musical heritage, followed by Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35—one of the most brilliant and beloved works in the violin repertoire. Music Director Yoel Levy conducts, with violinist Christina Balanas as soloist in the Tchaikovsky.
