About this event
Part of the Haifa Symphony Orchestra’s Friday Classic series, this 11:00 morning concert builds a dialogue between Israeli musical identity and European tradition. Paul Ben‑Haim’s Psalms from Symphony No. 1 opens with Middle Eastern contours shaped by European symphonic form. Boris Pigovat’s Harp Concerto places the harp at the center of the program. After the break, Debussy’s Sacred and Profane Dances for harp and strings continues the harp thread, and Elgar’s Enigma Variations closes with a gallery of musical portraits. Conductor Yoel Levi leads the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, with harpist Yael Beri featured in the Pigovat and Debussy works.
