Part of pianist Orit Wolf’s curated series, this concert fuses orchestral performance, live commentary, and dance. “From the Waltz to the Tango” traces a stylistic arc from 19th‑century ballroom elegance to the passion of Argentine tango. Orit Wolf appears both as pianist and moderator, offering narration and musical context. Yoni Farhi conducts the Haifa Symphony Orchestra. Guest dancers join the orchestra and piano, transforming the evening into a multidisciplinary encounter of music, movement, and spoken insight. The program spans roughly a century of dance‑inspired concert works: Chopin’s intimate piano waltzes, Johann Strauss II’s grand waltzes and polkas, Brahms’s and Dvořák’s folk‑infused dance collections, and the tangos associated with Carlos Gardel.
