About this event

Mucki Concerts are interactive “join-in” concerts for families with children aged 3–5 (including daycare groups). Flutist and music educator Stefanie Platzer moderates and invites children to dance, clap, knock, hop, and stomp. The programme blends children’s songs with chamber music performed by members of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Staatstheater Cottbus; instrumentation varies by date (e.g., mandolin, harp, and cello playing tangos by Betina Muller, as well as excerpts from works by Luise Adolpha le Beau). The intimate Kammermusiksaal provides close proximity to the musicians. Each session lasts about 40 minutes (09:30–10:10), tailored to the attention span of the age group. The series is part of the theatre’s young-audience offerings alongside “Konzert für Minis” and “mobile musiqa!”.
