The evening “Dreamer” brings together four choreographic works that treat dreams as a source of inspiration and creative power. Three works are world premieres; the fourth—Martin Harriague’s “The Dreamer”—returns as a revival from the previous season. The program is presented at Altes Kino Franklin, NTM’s venue in Mannheim’s Franklin district. Its guiding themes are magic, utopia, and euphoria. Emerging choreographers Lilit Hakobyan and Ruben Julliard focus on the creative potential of the unconscious, giving individual dream worlds a tangible stage language. Company director Stephan Thoss contributes a new work that plays with ambiguity, blurring the line between reality and fantasy. Harriague’s “The Dreamer,” created in collaboration with Harrison Stafford and Groundation, translates the pulse of reggae into fluid, organic movement for eight dancers—groovy and explosive, yet spiritual, carrying a message of unity and peace.
