About this event
The International Opera Studio of the Nationaltheater Mannheim was founded in the 2016/17 season as a platform for emerging young singers. It serves as a talent incubator and an important component in the training of young artists. This anniversary concert marks the tenth anniversary of the institution. The concert reunites former and current Opera Studio members, who look back on their time at NTM and present a program that showcases the stylistic breadth of the young singers. The current members for the 2025/26 season represent four voice types: soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, and baritone. Artistic training at the Opera Studio is supported by coaching from Naomi Schmidt, Claudia Plasswich, and Luches Huddleston Jr. The International Opera Studio is supported by the Richard Wagner Association Mannheim Kurpfalz e. V. and the Heinrich Vetter Foundation.
