Philharmonieveedel Pänz: »der Blaue Gartenzaun« – Bürgerzentrum Chorweiler, Cologne

About this event

PhilharmonieVeedel Pänz is a concert series by the Cologne Philharmonie created for children aged 2–6 and their families. Performances take place in neighborhood venues across Cologne—such as theaters and community centers—bringing chamber and ensemble music directly into local communities. The program “The Blue Garden Fence” features five performers: Hajo Wiesemann, Tobias Sykora, Christoph König, Sandra Klinkhammer, and Nadja Karasjew. A narrative framework centered on the character Snail Schlurfi links live music, interaction, and short stories into an engaging, hands-on concert experience. The running time is about 45 minutes with no intermission, tailored to young audiences. As part of the “Im Veedel” outreach format, the production tours within Cologne and serves both daycare groups on weekdays and families on weekends. The series is supported by the Kuratorium KölnMusik e.V.
