Catherine Russell brings “Classics of Jazz” to Spain as part of her national tour. The acclaimed New York–born jazz and blues vocalist—daughter of pianist/bandleader Luis Russell and guitarist/bassist Carline Ray—leads a small ensemble through standards from the Great American Songbook. Her approach emphasizes authenticity and the Armstrong blues lineage, with arrangements that foreground storytelling and emotional depth. A three-time Grammy nominee, Russell has worked with artists such as David Bowie and released albums including “Harlem On My Mind.” In Burgos she appears in the Sala de Congresos at Fórum Evolución, in a tour that celebrates the great classics of jazz.
