INA grm Akousma #1 opens the Multiphonies 26–27 season, produced by INA grm (Institut national de l’audiovisuel – Groupe de recherches musicales). The event launches a three-evening cycle devoted to acousmatic music, conceived as a dialogue between generations and aesthetics. As every season, the Akousma concerts are built around spatialized diffusion on the Acousmonium, a large loudspeaker orchestra installed in Studio 104 at the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique in Paris. The Acousmonium—INA grm’s signature instrument—projects fixed-media electroacoustic works through a distributed array of loudspeakers of varying sizes and timbres, turning listening into an immersive, three‑dimensional experience. The series is part of the broader Multiphonies programming, alongside the Présences électronique festival (February 2027) and a second Akousma cycle (May 2027). Akousma #1 serves as the season opener and sets the curatorial tone for the year’s exploration of acousmatic and electroacoustic composition.
