Lennox is an energetic hip-hop youth opera (ages 8+) presented by Dutch National Opera in co‑production with RIGHTABOUTNOW INC. Multi‑instrumentalist Bnnyhunna (Benjamin Ankomah) makes his operatic debut, fusing jazz, gospel, Afrobeat, soul, and classical colors into a vivid sound world. Director Marjorie Boston shapes the story with a brisk, music‑video rhythm, while the look of the show draws inspiration from the award‑winning illustrations connected to the source book. The one‑hour performance, sung in Dutch, aims to engage young audiences with a bold, contemporary operatic language. With a compact cast and creative team, the production balances humor, heart, and high energy. Tickets go on sale 7 May 2026 at 12:00, with prices from €17 (Studio Boekman booking fee applies).
