This children’s concert by the Bielefeld Philharmonic is aimed at ages 7+ and presents Dvořák’s Ninth Symphony as a narrated concert journey. A framing story from the viewpoint of Ottilie Dvořák, the composer’s 14‑year‑old daughter, opens a child-friendly path into the “New World”. First Kapellmeister and Deputy General Music Director Gregor Rot conducts. Two morning performances are reserved for school classes; a Sunday performance is open to the public. All concerts take place in the Great Hall of the Rudolf‑Oetker‑Halle.
