About this event

Beautiful HAKKA is a concert presented by the Long Tan Philharmonic Orchestra (LTPO) at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying). The program focuses on the intersection of Western orchestral traditions and Hakka musical heritage. It features the piece Hakka Rhapsody, a 2020 commission by the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra dedicated to the violinist Lin Cho-Liang. LTPO, based in Longtan District (Taoyuan), is recognized as a representative Hakka orchestral ensemble in Taiwan, combining classical repertoire with Hakka folk and community traditions. The concert takes place in Weiwuying’s Concert Hall and showcases a blend of orchestral works and Hakka-themed compositions, reflecting the ensemble’s mission to merge classical and local arts.
