About this event

Closing concert of the 80th Concours de Genève, presented in partnership with the Institut National Genevois (INGE). It brings together laureates from two editions: Quatuor Elmire (Second Prize ex aequo, 2023 String Quartet edition) and violist Brian Isaacs (First Prize ex aequo, 2025 Viola edition). In the intimate setting of Théâtre Les Salons, the laureates offer a chamber music programme that extends the Competition experience beyond the rounds. Founded in 2020, Quatuor Elmire has appeared at the Philharmonie de Paris, Wigmore Hall and the Konzerthaus Berlin, and won the Fondation Etrillard Prize in 2023. American violist Brian Isaacs studied at Yale and the Geneva International String Academy and shared First Prize in 2025. Their collaboration naturally points to string quintet repertoire with two violas, including a Beethoven Quintet and two additional works (full programme to be confirmed).
