Pause-déj' musicale | A Few Bubbles of Jazz is a free lunchtime event run by Les 2 Scènes as part of its “Action Pause-déj’” outreach. Musicians of the Victor Hugo Orchestra meet audiences in a relaxed, 45‑minute format to talk about the music and offer a behind‑the‑scenes look at the orchestra. Rather than a formal concert, it’s an accessible conversation and listening session connected to the evening program. The theme explores the meeting point of jazz and symphonic writing through three works: John Williams’s Escapades (from Catch Me If You Can), Wayne Shorter’s Sherwood (originally a clarinet concerto, newly adapted for saxophone at Nicolas Prost’s request), and Baptiste Trotignon’s Anima (a French jazz perspective, recorded by the orchestra before its live premiere). The series visual identity is by Jochen Gerner. Free admission and a compact duration make it ideal for downtown workers, students, and the simply curious.
