About this event

This concert presents three of J.S. Bach's choral cantatas performed by CONCORA (Connecticut Choral Artists), led by Artistic Director Chris Shepard. It is part of Music Worcester's third annual BACHtoberfest Weekend within the larger multi-year initiative The Complete Bach. The festival runs October 23–25, 2026, with this Saturday afternoon program as the choral centerpiece. The repertoire features BWV 6 (Bleib bei uns, denn es will Abend werden), BWV 39 (Brich dem Hungrigen dein Brot), and BWV 73 (Herr, wie du willt, so schick's mit mir), highlighting Bach's sacred cantata writing across varied liturgical contexts and themes. The venue is the Sarah Wyman Whitman Gallery at WAMS Works, an intimate, flexible space with general admission seating for roughly 200–300. The hall is fully accessible, and free parking is available on Grove Street across from the venue.
