This concert is the second installment of the “Nature, Life & Love” symphonic series for ADDA·Simfònica Alicante’s 2026–2027 season. The program traces a thematic arc from nature to human expression: it opens with Dvořák’s concert overture In Nature’s Realm, continues with Saint‑Saëns’s Piano Concerto No. 5, the “Egyptian” — written in Luxor and noted for its exotic orchestral colors and North African/Middle Eastern inflections — and concludes with Beethoven’s compact, high‑spirited Symphony No. 8. Curated under the artistic direction of Josep Vicent, the series groups symphonic programs around thematic pillars. In “Natura,” the works engage with the natural world and human experience within it: Dvořák depicts nature’s grandeur and calm; Saint‑Saëns captures travel impressions and the Nile’s soundscape; and Beethoven, while not programmatic, channels vitality and wit.
