Heaven and Earth is presented as part of the ADDA Auditorio Alicante Symphonic Season 2026–2027 under the theme Nature, Life & Love. The program is devoted entirely to Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3, whose six-movement design spans a philosophical journey from the inanimate natural world through plant and animal life to human consciousness and divine love—an arc reflected in the concert’s title. The Düsseldorfer Symphoniker perform with two Valencian choirs—the Coral Infantil Juan Bautista Comes and the Orfeó Universitari de València—and Scottish mezzo-soprano Catriona Morison. With Adam Fischer as Principal Conductor since 2015, the orchestra earned an Opus Klassik for its 2019 recording of Mahler’s Third, bringing notable interpretive authority to this performance.
