About this event

This Nutcracker is a collaboration between the Arctic Philharmonic and Pias Ballettstudio in Bodø. Tchaikovsky’s score is performed live by the Arctic Philharmonic Sinfonietta (chamber orchestra) with dancers from Pias Ballettstudio, choreographed by Pia Maria Føinum Øien. The staging is designed as a family-friendly pre-Christmas experience—a “pre-Christmas ballet with Christmas magic.” The production is a seasonal tradition at Stormen Concert Hall in Bodø, seen in 2019 and 2025, and now in 2026. This year’s conductor is Marit Strindlund (previously Eivind Gullberg Jenssen in 2025 and Tabita Berglund in 2019). No individual dancers/roles are listed for the 2026 edition.
