A new creation by Ballet Director Ricardo Fernando opens Staatstheater Augsburg’s 2026/27 ballet season under the motto “ungeheuer.” Prokofiev’s Cinderella is reimagined in a fresh choreographic interpretation made specifically for the Augsburg company and presented at the interim venue martini-Park. Performances feature live accompaniment by the Augsburg Philharmonic. Fernando, who has led Ballet Augsburg since 2017 as director and chief choreographer, promises a new perspective on the beloved classic while preserving its narrative appeal.
