Der Gott Des Gemetzels – In Bairischer Sprache – Pasinger Fabrik, Munich

About this event

This production presents Yasmina Reza’s internationally acclaimed play God of Carnage in the only authorized dialect version: a Bavarian adaptation by Sebastian Edtbauer, who also appears as Micha Huber. Staged by SIA! Company and presented by Theater Lust, the show is directed by Johannes Rieder with set design by Beni Kung. The Bavarian version is far more than a linguistic flourish: it sharpens pace, wit, and bite, grounding the play’s universal themes in a specific cultural register. Critics praise its authenticity without falling into folklore, its elegant balance of edge and style, and an ensemble performing at the highest level. Having toured widely across southern Germany, the production demonstrates how high culture can speak Bavarian—wicked, elegant, and highly engaging for audiences.
