The second concert in Oper Frankfurt’s 2026/27 chamber music series takes place on Sunday, 11 October 2026 at 11:00 am in the Holzfoyer. The program is thematically linked to the same-day evening premiere of Georg Friedrich Handel’s Ottone. It features works by Handel and his contemporaries performed on period instruments by the Horus Ensemble, led from the harpsichord by Vaclav Luks. The series presents Sunday-morning chamber concerts each season that connect directly to current opera productions, and the Holzfoyer provides an intimate setting distinct from the main auditorium. Vaclav Luks, music director of the new Ottone production, also leads this concert from the harpsichord, creating a direct artistic bridge between the morning chamber event and the evening opera premiere.
