La Triviata – The Impro Opera is a long-running improvised opera format by the LaTriviata ensemble at Pasinger Fabrik in Munich. Each performance creates a complete opera from scratch: four singers and one pianist spontaneously devise libretto, music, and staging, sparked by audience suggestions for settings, emotions, characters, or props. Musical direction is by Michael Armann, who shapes the musical fabric in real time together with pianist Chris Schönfelder. Acting and improvisation are led by Andreas Wolf, who also performs as part of the ten-singer rotating pool. The intimate Small Stage fosters direct interaction, ensuring that every show is unique and born from the immediate exchange between audience and ensemble.
